Engagements don't have to be stuffy....

Michelle and her fiance are down-to-earth people from Small Town, Texas. They wanted informal, fun portraits to commemorate their engagement. So, we started thinking outside the box and came up with some fun portraits.

A guy and all his girls

When Kara called me, she told me that she needed a new family picture since she and her husband had adopted Britten. I've known Kara for a while, but I'd never met her family. On the day we met, I had her introduce me to each member of her family. It was then I realized how supremely outnumbered her dad is. He has a wife, three daughters and six granddaughters. Not only did he not have one son, but he doesn't have one grandson, either. His wonderful sons-in-law will have to do for now. :)

Deannie's Crew

I met Deannie through a mutual friend and was so taken by the sweetness in her voice. When we actually met in person, I immediately realized that her sweetness wasn't only in her voice, but in her life. She is the kindest hearted person I have had the pleasure of meeting. Her kids were such troopers and let me chase them around with the camera all afternoon. I honestly loved snapping these portraits. They make me happy.

The Cokers

I met Brittany and her husband at church and I just adore them. They are as country as it gets and that is something I can relate to. They are the cutest down-home, casual couple. I had a great time photographing them and they were such troopers to battle the cold, cold weather.

Familes come in all different forms.......

The Marshalls added this sweet little addition to their family this year to make a couple into a family of three. They waited and waited for her and when the time was right, God chose the perfect child for them. She's a precious addition to their lives and I love spending time with their Tooterbug.
